We continue in our series on Eyes of Faith: Viewing Life BIblically and focus on the sanctity of life. God wants us to choose life and right before us, we have seen the effects of war on innocent lives lost. May God restore peace and remind us that all lives are valued in His sight.
Imagine taking a thrilling journey back to the very dawn of time, to witness the miraculous creation of our world through the lens of faith. This Sunday, we're embarking on an incredible adventure as we dive into the timeless narrative of "Eyes of Faith: Seeing Life Biblically." We're going back to the beginning, to explore the profound concept of creation – a topic that resonates deep within our souls. But here's the twist: we're not just talking about any creation. We're delving into Biblical creation, a concept that echoes with the eternal power and divine nature of God Himself. Why join us? Because this is not just a discussion; it's an exploration of faith, a journey through time, and an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the incredible power of God's creation story. This Sunday, let's come together to celebrate our faith and uncover the awe-inspiring truth behind Biblical creation. Don't miss out on this remarkable adventure!
Have you thought about your worldview? How it began? Or even, how it continues to be formed in your life? Well, this week we look at how everything was formed and the Apostle John introduces us to the Word, to the force in the universe that made everything, to that emanation that comes from God, that revelation that comes from God, that manifestation that comes from God which expresses the will of God, the mind of God, the power of God, the purpose of God, the design of God, the plan of God. He wants us to meet this powerful force— He wants us to meet Himself, the One who created all things through speaking a “word.”
This week, we begin a new sermon and study series entitled, “Eyes of Faith: Viewing Life Biblically.” Let’s start by asking “What is your worldview?” Maybe you haven’t a clue as to what a worldview is and how it differs from a biblical worldview. Well then, you’ll want to join us as we dive into the Scriptures and see if how we view the things of the world, how we speak, how we act, how we determine our decisions are biblical— or not.
Celebrating a New Beginning is a joyful and transformative experience, akin to embarking on a fresh journey with Jesus. It's an opportunity to leave behind the past and embrace a spiritual rebirth filled with hope, faith, and the promise of a brighter future.
Peter and John meet a man along the way as they were heading to temple. The only thing that they could give him was the name of Jesus Christ and told him to stand up and walk. The man was healed and we know this story, but what happens next? Peter tells of the goodness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the crowds. Peter and John were committed to share the good news of Jesus as they went out.
When we are committed to obeying God, guess what? Those closest to us will know that we really love God and that we believe what He says. When they see that we faithfully attend church, they’ll be convinced that it is important to us. When they see us pray and read our Bibles, they will know that we are serious about our relationship with God. Noah was such a person who wholly committed his ways to the Lord. He was committed to obedience.
The word "come" might sound simple, yet its genuine commitment can be challenging to embrace in our journey of faith. We’re going to delve into the beautiful truth that Jesus personally invites each of us to join him. When we are supported and surrendered to the Holy Spirit, we're also entrusted with the mission to extend this invitation to others.
Our biggest fights actually begin inside our heads, where our thoughts wrestle and our beliefs clash. So, just like Colossians 3 mentions, we need to regularly refresh and reshape our thinking to better equip ourselves for the challenges we face in life.
In life, we encounter moments of despair, confusion, and limitation. It is during these times that we may feel lost, spiritually blind, and unable to move forward. Yet, it is essential to remember that it is in the in-between where Jesus shows up most powerfully. He bridges the gap between our struggles and ultimate transformation. Jesus is our in between.
