Have you ever brought something home from the store, only to set the instructions aside because you thought you knew how to put it together? Imagine if we did that with God's instructions for our lives. When we follow the guidance He's given us, we open ourselves to the blessings and abundance He promises.
As believers, we're assured that our cups can overflow with the abundance of God's grace and love when we obediently follow His teachings. Through our commitment to His word, we are promised not only growth in righteousness but also a deeper connection with God, enriching our lives with more of His divine presence and blessings.
Join us as we explore the urgency embedded in Jesus' command to make disciples and teach obedience, as this message challenges us to contemplate whether we view it as a compelling directive or merely an optional choice – prompting us to reflect on the true essence of discipleship and proactive engagement in spreading the teachings of Christ.
Sanctity of Life Sunday. It’s a day of reflection and advocacy, emphasizes the profound value of human life. As the cornerstone of this observance, the poignant words echo: "The Bible teaches us that in His eyes all innocent human life is to be protected.”
As we conclude our Sermon and Study Series, "Eyes of Faith: Viewing Life Biblically," our focus shifts to the practical application of living out our faith. Join us in exploring the fundamental question: How do we live our lives biblically? Through God's guidance, leaning on His wisdom, and aligning with His Word, we will delve into the transformative journey of keeping in step with His Spirit as we navigate and address the world's issues through a biblical lens.
This week, we begin a new sermon and study series entitled, “Eyes of Faith: Viewing Life Biblically.” Let’s start by asking “What is your worldview?” Maybe you haven’t a clue as to what a worldview is and how it differs from a biblical worldview. Well then, you’ll want to join us as we dive into the Scriptures and see if how we view the things of the world, how we speak, how we act, how we determine our decisions are biblical— or not.
There are five Women in the lineage of Jesus who played significant roles as mothers in the story of redemption in the Bible. Each of them had a unique story that demonstrates God's grace and faithfulness, and their inclusion in Jesus' lineage underscores the idea that God can use anyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, to accomplish His purposes.
Through and through, we know who Jesus is and have experienced His resurrection. We’ve taken root in Him. Now, it's time to go a bit deeper. Going deeper with God changes our entire being and how we live our lives. It is what will allow us to stand firm in times of testing, it is what will help us remain steadfast when the ways of the world glamour for our attention, and it is what will help us hold onto the truth we have found in Christ.
On the night in which He was betrayed, Jesus did not assemble an army to fight against those who were seeking to kill Him. He sat with HIs disciples and showed them exactly how He was going to forgive, to show mercy. May be someone has betrayed you in the past. How did you handle it? Jesus showed us to handle it with compassion. It’s not easy, however in the strength of Jesus Christ forgiveness does come.
On Christmas Day, Lead Pastor Steve Darr told a story about the Fourth Wiseman. His name is Artaban and he comes to us through “The Story of the Other Wise Man,” a book written by Henry Van Dyke and published in 1895. It is a beautiful story grounded in the teachings of Jesus. Through carols and Scripture, the story of the birth of Jesus the Messiah once again was told to remind us that He is God with Us.
