Since God created you with a purpose in mind, do you think He’d abandon you in the midst of everything? Of course not! He promises to guide you all the way through your life. As we begin our journey in Advent we will be Following His Star to prepare ourselves to be guided by His word documented and His Word incarnate.

Who do you thank? Gratitude in all things comes through a renewed heart and mind. Being thankful is found in the Bible multiple times. As Believers, as followers of Christ, we are called to give thanks to God for everything— in all things, for all things, during all things. Thankfulness is to produce rejoicing in our lives to glorify God. Saying “thank you” to God hardly seems enough in light of all He has done for us. And yet, when we do, He gladly receives our praise.
Fears, most of us have one or two physical fears and maybe we’ve tried to overcome them. You know fear can be overcome and has been overthrown by Jesus. Through Him, we have nothing to fear. We are held in His hand, we are called His friend, we have our names written in the book of life— nothing to fear.
As Christians, we’re not simply called to put our faith in Christ Jesus at a moment in time, we’re called to perseverance. Knowing and believing that Jesus came to take all of our griefs, sorrows, shame, and guilt upon himself is why we can persevere with joy. We can proclaim, “Blessing, and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever” because of what He has done.
