The joy that Jesus brought the earth is incomparable with any other joy or feeling of happiness that can be experienced in life. It is a supernatural joy that was brought to the earth in a unique way when God took on human form and became the Savior of the world!
Did you know that Jesus, in his infinite wisdom, touched on the topic of money in a whopping 11 out of the 39 parables he shared with the crowds? It's pretty fascinating how he used money as a tool to unveil our true priorities. Think about it – our bank statements spill the beans on what truly matters to us. At the core of Christianity lies this beautiful idea that God, in His vast creativity, crafted everything, and it all ultimately belongs to Him. We humans? Well, we're more like stewards or managers of these divine resources, and that includes our hard-earned money. Stewardship isn't just a small part of the Christian journey; it's the whole shebang! It's about embracing the notion that every penny we manage is a chance to express our devotion and care for what truly matters in the grand scheme of things
If you’re not excited about something, chances are you won’t tell many people about it. For many Christians, the excitement of the Christian walk has been dulled by everyday distractions, materialistic pursuits, and unconfessed sin. We can stay excited about our relationship with Jesus Christ and, as a result, tell more people about Him.
You’ve maybe heard it said that “God’s NO is not a rejection. It’s a Redirection.” God’s goal for you is to become more Christlike and often, we take a number of turns that take us off God’s intended purpose and we need redirecting. The thing is, we don’t yet see things clearly, we know things in part, and we struggle perhaps in the wrong direction, but we will, one day, “will know fully, even as we are fully known” by God. Isn’t it amazing that we can hand over all our past, present, and future to a God who knows us and desires the best for us?
As Christians, we’re not simply called to put our faith in Christ Jesus at a moment in time, we’re called to perseverance. Knowing and believing that Jesus came to take all of our griefs, sorrows, shame, and guilt upon himself is why we can persevere with joy. We can proclaim, “Blessing, and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever” because of what He has done.
God has a purpose for you— and this purpose is unique to you and unlike anyone else’s. Once you understand the uniqueness of you, it will put you well on the way to pursuing the purpose for which you were created. The Apostle Paul encourages the early church to press on toward the goal of the upward call. Are you chasing after your God-given dream? Let us pursue everything God has for each one of us
There is so much joy in taking a trip. The excitement builds as you prepare along the way to the destination. If you’re ready, we’ll be taking a trip this weekend to see the joy that surrounds the One who we adore, Jesus the Christ. From Mary and Joseph, the Shepherds, the Disciples, the ones Jesus healed, and the resurrection— Jesus gives us the reason to have joy, this day and every day. Join us as we once again discover the Joy of Jesus.
As we enter the book of Philippians, we need to start with a solid foundation. Every book of the Bible is put there to help and assist us to know God more intimately through His Son Jesus Christ and to encourage us to stand firm in the faith. Philippians is no different. This letter written by Paul to the Church of Philippi is a friendship letter. He knows them intimately and therefore knows what they are going through as an early church, believers following Jesus. Take this journey with us as we walk through Philippians and learn what it means to partner with Christ.
This week we will bring Joy to the World through our praise. God’s Word has so much to say about praise it could be a sermon series in and of itself. But as we look at the characters of Moses and Mary, we find that we can rejoice for our hope has come… and Jesus will soon be returning to restore all things. Now that is something we can have an expectation of praise shouted from the mountain tops!
