We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a new church for a visit can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at First Church a great one!

First Church is located at 835 Riverside Avenue in Torrington. We are at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Goshen Road (Rt. 4).

First Church meets every Sunday morning for Worship at both 9:00am and 11:00am, You have the opportunity to attend in-person or view our Worship Services online at our YouTube Channel.

WHAT TO EXPECT

When you come to First Church, you can expect to be welcomed into a friendly, positive environment by people who are genuinely excited to see you. Our gatherings last about 90 minutes, are filled with a blend of hymns and contemporary music, and include an inspiring message from the Bible by one of our pastors.

Sundays here at First Church are exciting, casual, and relaxed. We invite you to come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest. If you're ready to check out First Church in person, we can't wait to meet you!

FOR YOUR KIDS

Sundays will quickly become your family’s favorite day of the week. Our age-specific lessons will ensure that your child has a ton of fun as they learn about Jesus. Our Kids First team is committed to providing an environment that is safe, clean, and fun for your children.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Worship Gatherings. First Church is not about what you look like or what you wear. Dress in what is comfortable for you!

Our goal is to make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our team of greeters will assist you when you enter our doors and make sure that you know exactly where to go.

BIBLE STUDY ON ACTS

Monday Evenings
7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Acts shows that the new Christian movement is not a fringe sect, but the culmination of God’s plan of redemption. What was seen only as shadows in the Old Testament, God reveals finally and fully through Jesus Christ. The book of Acts does not primarily provide human patterns to emulate or avoid. Instead, it repeatedly calls us to reflect upon the work of God, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, establishing the church by the power of the Holy Spirit.

MEN's FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST

 Second and Fourth Saturday of the Month • 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
$5.00 breakfast donation

Coffee is brewing at 7:30 a.m. and the study begins at 8:oo a.m. We gather to share and study. The study is led by one of our pastors and incorporates relevant topics for men to grow into the likeness of Christ and exhibit love and grace to family and friends. Currently breakfast is brought in and social distance protocols are put in place to provide safety for all.

WOMEN's CARE & SHARE

10:00 a.m. on the Fourth Saturday of each month for coffee and fellowship (no breakfast)

This is a fantastic opportunity for the ladies of our church to gather together for a time of fellowship, study, and sharing.
