OUR DOORS ARE OPEN
COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Beginning Sunday June 6, 2021 the following protocols were put into place:
Masks are optional. Based on the CT Protocols and guidelines, no masks are required for use in non-congested outdoor events. For indoor meetings and events, those persons who have received the vaccination no masks are required. For those persons who have not received the vaccination masks are highly recommended. We will continue to abide by the 6’ social distance spacing until further notice.
We want all those who come to worship to feel safe and at ease. Thank you for your faithfulness in following the protocols we have put in place. With this change to the protocols there may be some of you who have been worshipping from home who would like to return to in-person worship. To return we ask that you contact one of the pastors to discuss the options available to you. Please understand that we are integrating those returning with those who have been worshipping in person.

WORSHIP SERVICES ONLINE AND IN-PERSON
We will hold two (as close to identical as possible) services on Sunday morning. We have streamlined these services to keep them at one hour in length. The first service will occur at 9AM and the second service would happen at 11AM. We will continue to broadcast the service on YouTube as well. The 9AM service will be live-streamed at our YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/c/FirstChurchTorrington and then available for re-streaming at 11AM for those who choose to worship from their homes.
As you enter the church there will be a collection box in the narthex for your offerings. They will be dedicated during the service. All information needed for you to participate in the worship service will be on the monitors at the front of the sanctuary. All hymnals, Bibles, and any other paper products will have been removed from the pews. You are encouraged to bring your own Bible. We will not be asking for prayer requests during the service. Therefore, should you have a prayer request please call or email the office by the Thursday prior to the Sunday worship time. If you have an emergency prayer request on a Sunday morning, please locate a deacon and tell them of your request when you arrive and in turn, they will get it to Pastor Steve.
SEATING
The attendance will be limited to maintain 6' social distance. That will allow us to follow current protocols that are in place. Seating is reduced to "numbered" pews. Your safety goes beyond the service time. Should there be someone who tests positive for COVID 19 that attended the church service during the time you were there we will be able to inform you so that you can take the necessary steps to self-quarantine.
FIRST KIDS MINISTRY
We currently are offering our First Kids Ministry in-person programming called Bible Adventures during the 11:00am Service. Children will be dismissed after the Kids Story and attend in-person during the rest of the time.
SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Hand sanitizing stations will be in the narthex at both doors into the sanctuary. Please sanitize your hands before entering. Between the two services the Sanctuary, narthex and bathroom will be disinfected by a team of volunteers from the church.
With all that being said, Pastor Jonathan and I are looking forward to worshipping with you again, in person. These health protocols and safety instructions are for now. It is where we are at this time but it will not be forever. Thank you for your understanding and patience. God Bless!!
