There was an urgency in Jesus’ statement, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” Why? Because He calls us out into the dark world to bring the light of His life, death, and resurrection so that all may know the salvation of the Lord through no other means than Jesus Christ. Let us have the same eagerness to sit down with the Ones in our lives that need to know the Lord’s suffering in order for them to have a relationship with God.
Do you want to know the truth? Do you want to know the way? Do you want to know life? The answer can only be found in Jesus. You’ve probably heard it been said in Christian circles that to have Jesus is to have everything— and guess what? That is true. Everything, absolutely everything is found in Jesus Christ. Join us this week as we discuss how it is Only Jesus where we can receive life eternal, the truth of God’s word, and the way toward righteousness.
Living the Christian life as a follower of Jesus is not any ordinary life. We are called to a higher standard. We are called out to be separate from the world to be peculiar people. Different in a good way to shine our lights so brightly to season the world with salt so that they can taste the difference of life being in union with Christ. Join us this week as we come together to discover what it means to live a higher standard.
We begin our sermon series on LEAP with a look at what it means to Let go of the past. Letting go of the past is our first step in taking the LEAP toward the plan God has for us personally and as a Church.
This week, we continue by talking about what we believe and a look at the Apostle's Creed. Our focus today will be on the next two stanzas, “the communion of the saints and the forgiveness of sins.” These are two important beliefs of a follower of Jesus Christ because, in them, we find we are set free from the bondage of sin and enter a family that is as numerous as the stars.
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Join us as we celebrate the Savior! He rose so that we can be free from the wages of sin and death.
We meditate on the 7 Last Sayings of Christ from the cross in today’s service. Use the time offered to reflect on the message and meaning of those last words Christ said and how they offer us new life.
First Church of Torrington's Online Palm Sunday service including Communion.
Join First Church This morning for worship. We hope you will be uplifted and encouraged about the wounds that we once had are no more through the cross of Jesus Christ. Today we address the wounds of adultery.
This is the next in the Series on By His Wounds We Are Healed sermons. We focus on the wounds of murder. Murder can mean more than what you think it might. Thank you for joining us for this service.
