The word "come" might sound simple, yet its genuine commitment can be challenging to embrace in our journey of faith. We’re going to delve into the beautiful truth that Jesus personally invites each of us to join him. When we are supported and surrendered to the Holy Spirit, we're also entrusted with the mission to extend this invitation to others.
At some point, we all feel unqualified and ill-equipped to tell someone else about what Christ has done for us. We may think we don’t have the right words to say or can’t do what God is calling us to do. Well, that’s good because then we aren’t relying on our own strength, but on the Holy Spirit to work in and through our words and actions. God equips those who are called. Since He has called you to Himself, He is the one who will help you through.
There was an urgency in Jesus’ statement, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” Why? Because He calls us out into the dark world to bring the light of His life, death, and resurrection so that all may know the salvation of the Lord through no other means than Jesus Christ. Let us have the same eagerness to sit down with the Ones in our lives that need to know the Lord’s suffering in order for them to have a relationship with God.
This Sunday Advent begins. We start it off with a new 4-Week Sermon and Study Series called, The Fullness of Time. Let us take this time to prepare our hearts and homes to once again remember the reason for the season— Jesus Christ come to earth to set the captives free. Isn’t that worth waiting for? We tend to not like to wait. It’s like being a kid waiting for Christmas morning to arrive. Sometimes waiting seems to take so long. We know Jesus was worth the wait. He came and will return. Let our hope, joy, and love grow as we begin this Advent Season.
This week we will bring Joy to the World through our praise. God’s Word has so much to say about praise it could be a sermon series in and of itself. But as we look at the characters of Moses and Mary, we find that we can rejoice for our hope has come… and Jesus will soon be returning to restore all things. Now that is something we can have an expectation of praise shouted from the mountain tops!
Do you know what most people are doing during these uncertain times? They are making home improvements. While we are all making improvements in our living environments, the Lord draws us to make spiritual improvements. Come let us enter into worship and see the transforming work of God in our lives as we surrender to His plan.
We gather together to celebrate communion and remember and proclaim that Jesus is the cure for our social ills of the world today. He is the Savior of the world and we are equipped to go out and tell of how He has changed our lives so that others may know the good news of our risen Lord.
We continue in our series “We Believe” focusing on the largest portion of the Apostle’s Creed— We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord.
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Join us as we celebrate the Savior! He rose so that we can be free from the wages of sin and death.
We meditate on the 7 Last Sayings of Christ from the cross in today’s service. Use the time offered to reflect on the message and meaning of those last words Christ said and how they offer us new life.
