There is no greater way to get to know God, His character, His Nature, His goodness, and the life He has for you than reading His Living Word. And yet most people don’t do it. We have access to God’s Word and yet either don’t take time to do it or when we try, we don’t really understand it. That’’s why we’re taking time to get to the basics, the basics of getting closer to God through His Word.
As the summer heats up and we’re reminded to drink more water to stay hydrated, let's also consider how we're nourishing our spiritual lives. Just as our bodies need water, our souls need the living water offered by Jesus to stay refreshed and thriving.
In our daily lives, we are bombarded with countless voices, some uplifting and others detrimental. In "Mind Control," we explore how the voices we choose to listen to shape our thoughts and actions. Discover the transformative power of God's Word, which renews and fills our minds with life-changing truth.
As believers, we're assured that our cups can overflow with the abundance of God's grace and love when we obediently follow His teachings. Through our commitment to His word, we are promised not only growth in righteousness but also a deeper connection with God, enriching our lives with more of His divine presence and blessings.
The word love is most associated with romantic feelings, but what has to be remembered in the season of Lent when we focus on Jesus is that we are talking about agape love— sacrificial love that gives completely for another, a love that never lets go or changes. Lent becomes a time when as we draw closer to Christ and closer to one another in a love that lasts forever.
Embrace the profound difference between the world's clamor to "be who you want to be" and God's resounding declaration that "you are Mine, a chosen, holy people." Who we are centers around the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ—our ultimate gift of redemption. As we come together to celebrate Holy Communion, let us remember that God calls us His own, and it's in this divine truth that we find our purpose and identity.
The word "come" might sound simple, yet its genuine commitment can be challenging to embrace in our journey of faith. We’re going to delve into the beautiful truth that Jesus personally invites each of us to join him. When we are supported and surrendered to the Holy Spirit, we're also entrusted with the mission to extend this invitation to others.
Our biggest fights actually begin inside our heads, where our thoughts wrestle and our beliefs clash. So, just like Colossians 3 mentions, we need to regularly refresh and reshape our thinking to better equip ourselves for the challenges we face in life.
In life, we encounter moments of despair, confusion, and limitation. It is during these times that we may feel lost, spiritually blind, and unable to move forward. Yet, it is essential to remember that it is in the in-between where Jesus shows up most powerfully. He bridges the gap between our struggles and ultimate transformation. Jesus is our in between.
If you’re not excited about something, chances are you won’t tell many people about it. For many Christians, the excitement of the Christian walk has been dulled by everyday distractions, materialistic pursuits, and unconfessed sin. We can stay excited about our relationship with Jesus Christ and, as a result, tell more people about Him.
