No matter who you are, we all need a little encouragement now and then we can so easily get down on ourselves or think the worst about a certain situation. It is no wonder than that words of affirmation is one of the five love languages. Sometimes all it takes is one complement one kind remark, one acknowledgment of an accomplishment that can lift our spirits. Jesus is full of words of affirmation towards us because He is our encourager.

Sometimes in this world, it can feel like no one is listening to us, no one can hear and no one cares. But the New Testament makes it very evident that Jesus is always listening, always hearing us and always caring for us. We never have to feel that we are talking to air or saying something that does not matter. Each of us matters and what we say to the Lord matters to Him for He is listening.
Nobody likes being sick or injured. That is why we need our Healer, Jesus. It is Jesus who helps us. We may recover from a cold or flu in a day or two, but we can never recover from the ravages of sin without the intervention of our Healer Jesus. Only His death upon the cross can remedy the roundedness of our very souls.
We are blessed with a Savior who forgives us every day. In this world of sin, we are still prone to disobey our Lord and His Law again and again, but again and again, Jesus says in love, “I forgive you.”
When we encounter Jesus, His presence changes us from the inside out. We are no longer who we once were—we are made new, restored, and deeply loved. In Him, we find healing, purpose, and the joy of being called His friend.
